Skype isn't available in Ubuntu 9.04 "Jaunty Jackalope" from the synaptics package manager. You can get it from medibuntu.org instead; simply download and install the following in order: - skype-common (version 2.0.0.72)
- skype
Take the lazy way out and just double-click the files from the firefox download window to have the package manager automatically install them. If you upgraded from Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy Heron" like I did you might have to remove the old skype install first.
